Arizona has justifiably secured its status as a top-tier location for exotic and collector car exhibitions. When evaluating car culture relative to its population, the state could potentially be regarded as the foremost leader worldwide. This automotive hub flourishes due to two primary factors: its favorable climate and its significant number of retirees and seasonal residents.
To begin with, Arizona boasts a consistently sunny climate throughout the year, accompanied by low precipitation levels, which makes it an ideal location for maintaining vehicles. In contrast to areas affected by harsh weather conditions that can lead to rust and deterioration, Arizona's arid warmth helps cars endure over time, establishing it as a paradise for automotive lovers.
Additionally, Arizona's allure for retirees—particularly those with substantial financial means and a love for automobiles—has cultivated a vibrant car culture. The influx of snowbirds during the winter months brings an unmatched enthusiasm for vehicles, with many owning several luxury cars, which in turn enhances Arizona's automotive fervor.
Consequently, car shows have thrived throughout the state, particularly in the greater Phoenix region, with Scottsdale leading the way.
What to anticipate at an Arizona car show
For those attending for the first time, the variety of vehicles showcased at these events adds to the allure. Car shows in Arizona feature more than just cars; you'll also encounter an outstanding selection of pick-up trucks and SUVs.
Every exhibition usually revolves around a unique theme, with some emphasizing iconic American classics and muscle cars, while others showcase high-performance sports cars from prestigious manufacturers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche. Attendees can expect to see a diverse array of vehicles, ranging from classic models from the early 1900s to the newest limited-edition launches.
A standout feature of these events is the enthusiasm of car owners to interact with onlookers. Many owners take great pride in their cherished vehicles and are more than happy to discuss them and impart their expertise. Whether visitors are thinking about buying a car or just have a natural curiosity, these exhibitions provide a fantastic chance to gain insights and knowledge.
Numerous car owners are more than willing to share their insights on locating the vehicles you desire, their pricing, and the best places for restoration or maintenance. Arizona is home to a diverse range of specialized shops that cater to American, Italian, British, German, Japanese, and various other brands—so feel free to seek out their suggestions.

This free event will take place on Saturday, February 15, in Fountain Hills, with proceeds supporting patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Over the past ten years, it has transformed from a small assembly of 200 vehicles and a few thousand attendees into a spectacular showcase, occupying the entire park and drawing in more than 1,000 cars along with tens of thousands of spectators.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Phoenix Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Vehicle owners interested in participating must register and submit their entry fees by Friday, January 17.
Participants can expect a diverse array of vehicles on display, ranging from high-end exotic cars and race cars worth millions to classic and contemporary muscle cars, off-road vehicles, military trucks, and even military helicopters like Cobras and Vipers, all complemented by sports cars strategically placed nearby.
